Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
